3RB x Bringing (Dis)Ability to the Bar Criminal Advocacy Weekend 2025
We are delighted to partner with Three Raymond Buildings Chambers to run a Criminal Advocacy workshop over the weekend of 1st-2nd March 2025 for aspiring disabled students.
The workshop aims to equip disabled students with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed at the Criminal Bar, in an environment that is supportive to their needs.
Participants will be introduced to the key criminal advocacy exercises such as bail applications, plea in mitigations, and closing speeches, before having the opportunity to prepare and deliver submissions and receive detailed feedback. Members of Chambers will deliver the training and act as the judges for the advocacy exercise.
The weekend will also include panel discussions tailored to succeeding at pupillage interviews and tips for applying as a disabled applicant.
